Buying a used kart can save thousands of pounds, but it is important to inspect the kart carefully before purchasing.
Check the chassis for cracks, repairs and signs of heavy kerb damage. Look closely around welds, bearing hangers and the front end. Ask about engine service history, running hours and whether the engine has been sealed or rebuilt recently.
Also check axle straightness, bearing condition, seat mounting points, bodywork and brake condition. Always ask for clear photos and videos where possible, and avoid rushing into a deal if the seller cannot answer basic questions.
